A Greener Future
At Norman®, we’re dedicated to creating eco-friendly and safe window coverings that prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility. Across our global manufacturing facilities, we ensure harmful substances are never used in our products. By incorporating non-toxic, recyclable materials, we contribute to a healthier planet while delivering high-quality solutions. Through continuous innovation and research, we consistently improve our products to protect both our customers and the environment.

Responsible Sourcing
Sustainability starts with smart sourcing. Between 60% to 80% of the materials in our shutters are wood-based, including lumber and Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF). We carefully select fast-growing, lightweight and durable wood to minimize environmental impact. All our raw materials are 100% traceable, and lumber sourced from North America complies with American Hardwood Export Council regulations for legality, sustainability, and low environmental impact.

A Higher Standard
We hold ourselves to the highest safety and environmental standards. Our materials and paints meet California’s stringent Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emission Standards and the guidelines of the Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA). We are unwavering in our commitment to producing window coverings free of harmful substances.

Chemical Reduction for a Healthier Environment
We’re actively reducing unnecessary chemicals in our processes and adopting more sustainable materials. By replacing Styrofoam fillers with bubble columns, promoting renewable alternatives like corrugated paper, and using water-based paint processes instead of oil-based ones, we are transforming the industry. Our solvent-free adhesive formulations for non-woven fabrics further demonstrate our commitment to a healthier planet.

Waste Reduction for a Wonderful World
We prioritize reducing waste generated during production. By recycling materials like PVC, non-woven fabrics, and wood off-cuts, we minimize waste and optimize resource use. Our internal recycling initiatives ensure optimal utilization of materials while reducing environmental impact.

Quality is Our Heritage
Sustainability begins with quality. Our products are designed and built to last, enhancing homes across the globe in various climates. With precise production controls—such as drying kilns and climate-controlled storage—we not only ensure exceptional craftsmanship but also minimize health and safety risks for homeowners.

Eco Investments: Building a Sustainable Future
Our investments in modern technology reflect our commitment to sustainability. We’ve upgraded our equipment to efficiently reduce emissions, eliminate waste, and minimize our environmental impact. These advancements allow us to better manage resources and promote cleaner production processes, ensuring a greener future for our planet.
